Master Sharat Arora, unique Indian yoga teacher, designed the Workshop program using a scientific approach and an awareness that is often overlooked in other forms of Yoga. During his 38 years of experience and research in the field, he developed – and still continues to explore – a unique approach to teaching the foundations of Yoga practice in the simplest way possible.
There are thousands of Yoga Asanas, but which of them are the most beneficial for our modern times?
Intensive Course with master teacher Sharat Arora is an answer to this question. It introduces the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga as well as it is a deeper immersion into the practice for those who practice since many years.
The main focus is to provide a working knowledge to become a self-practitioner. It is a study of Corrective, Rejuvenating - Energizing and Relaxing - Meditative postures.
Students with ailments are given specific Therapeutic Attention and Guidelines.
The Workshop provides a fundamental framework and inspires one to explore deeper within. The Workshop is Informative, Motivational and, above all, Experiential.
The daily program comprises 5 hours of Asanas Class, 2 hours of Meditation and Pranayama Relaxation. Additionally to these Yoga Practices, the Course contains 2 Lectures and/or Questions & Answers Sessions concerning the Self-Practice and Yoga Philosophy.
The Intensive Yoga Course should be considered a retreat, where a student can devote oneself entirely to self-exploration, change and transformation. The Intensive Courses starts in the early morning and continues until sunset - leaving very little or no time for other activities. We, therefore, advise participants to come prepared with all their personal needs prior to the commencement of the Intensive Course. That means that the participants do not need to make phone calls or work on the internet during the course and therefore can fully benefit from the precious time with Yoga master Sharat Arora.
Two healthy vegetarian meals along with afternoon tea, are provided daily to all the participants. All aspects of Yoga are learned on an experiential level, and dramatic changes are often felt by the students.

Master teacher Sharat Arora (Anand Sagar) was born in 1953 and discovered Yoga in 1978. He went through intensive, full-time training for over 6 years with Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Institute in Pune. Already after 3 months, Guruji allowed him to assist his classes on all levels. Everyday hours of practice, permitted master teacher Sharat Arora to understand in his own body all the asanas and props that B.K.S. Iyengar was showing. However what woke up a special attention in master teacher Sharat Arora was the therapy sessions for the people who were coming to the Pune Institute to heal themselves. Seeing how Guruji didn’t deny a help to anyone, serving countless patients even in the most difficult health cases with which western medicine couldn’t deal, he understood his great compassion towards all the people. For that reason, he was like a father to him, the dearest teacher giving an excellent example. So that he could bring help to all of those, who needed guidance in healing their body and soul, master teacher Sharat Arora decided to dedicate his life to yoga. His involvement in the Yoga therapy was very significant in his development as a practitioner and teacher. His fusion of this experience and extensive study of Western as well as Ayurvedic medicine, greatly influenced his continually-evolving Yoga technique and sharpened his unique Yoga therapy skills. In following years, his indescribable source of inspiration were: Vipassana meditation practice conducted by Goenkaji himself as well as the enlightened spiritual teachers: Krishnamurti, Ramana Maharshi and Poonjaji or “Papaji” the “Dearest Father” as he used to be called lovingly by his dedicated students. A most significant spiritual transformation master teacher Sharat Arora went through in the presence of Poonjaji’s light of love. He had that opportunity to learn from him personally, and even had permission to conduct the yoga classes in his Satsang Bhavan. During 38 years’ experience of self-practice, teaching and healing, master teacher Sharat Arora very much deepened his yoga understanding as well as brought a big input into the B.K.S. Iyengar method.
Master teacher Sharat Arora clear and precise instructions, constant and detailed attentiveness, focus on providing students with the tools to practice and explore independently, and therapeutic knowledge for treating ailments and injuries, are combined with a spiritual depth that makes his instruction unique. Master teacher Sharat Arora speaks French, German and English fluently and has lived and travelled extensively in Europe.
